Trip Difficulty Levels
Trekking and climbing in Nepal range from 700 meters to over 8,848.86 meters, with difficulty levels classified from 1 (Easy) to 5 (Technical). Regular exercise is recommended, especially for those with cardiac or respiratory concerns. Choose a trek that suits your abilities and consult trip notes or contact us for detailed guidance. Camps are set at lodges or designated camping spots with daily altitude gains, and trekking duration is measured in walking hours rather than distance. We classify trip levels into five categories based on altitude and walking ease:
1. Easy Grade:
Ideal for all ages and fitness levels, this grade includes treks up to 3,500 meters. These routes are typically 1-2 weeks long, with daily walking of 4-5 hours. Perfect for those new to trekking or looking for a relaxed experience with Jagadamba Holidays.
2. Moderate Grade:
Designed for those who are physically fit, this level includes treks up to 4,500 meters. These journeys generally last 2-3 weeks, with 5-6 hours of daily walking. Suitable for trekkers with some experience, offering a balanced challenge with the expert guidance of Jagadamba Holidays.
3. Hard Grade:
Requires a high level of fitness and preparation. Treks can reach up to 5,800 meters and last 2-3 weeks, with 4-7 hours of walking each day. This grade demands stamina and resilience, and Jagadamba Holidays ensures you are well-prepared for these demanding adventures.
4. Strenuous Grade:
Intended for highly fit individuals, this grade involves treks up to 6,500 meters, featuring long, challenging days and a higher risk of Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS). These treks are demanding and require serious preparation, with Jagadamba Holidays offering expert support and safety measures.
5. Technical Grade:
For experienced mountaineers, this grade involves technical climbing and treks at altitudes from 6,501 meters to 8,848.86 meters. It requires specialized skills and equipment, with Jagadamba Holidays providing expert guidance and comprehensive support for these extreme challenges.
