Journey to Bardiya – Arrival, Resort Check-in, Community Forest Walk & Cultural Immersion

Upon arrival at Nepalgunj Airport, a friendly Babai Resort representative will greet you and escort you on a scenic drive to Bardiya National Park. The journey offers glimpses of rural Nepal, lush forests, and the beautiful Terai landscape. Upon arrival at Babai Resort, guests will receive a warm welcome with refreshing drinks before checking into their comfortable accommodations. After some time to relax and freshen up, the adventure begins.

In the late afternoon, guests will visit a community forest, where expert guides will introduce them to the native flora and fauna, including spotted deer, langurs, and exotic bird species. As the sun begins to set, guests will be taken to a scenic viewpoint offering panoramic views of the jungle bathed in golden light. This tranquil moment is perfect for photography and reflection before returning to the resort. The evening concludes with a delicious Nepali dinner featuring local flavors, followed by relaxation under the starlit sky. Accommodation: Babai Resort | Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

3. Day
Full-Day Jeep Safari Adventure – Deep Dive into Tiger Territory and Wilderness Exploration

The day begins with an early breakfast at the resort, gearing up for an exciting full-day jeep safari through the heart of Bardiya’s core jungle areas. Accompanied by expert naturalists and experienced trackers, the jeep safari offers an exhilarating way to explore tiger territory. The journey takes guests through dense sal forests, open grasslands, and riverbanks, where fresh footprints and claw marks signal the presence of wildlife. The open terrain increases the chances of spotting animals such as spotted deer, wild boars, peacocks, langurs, and—if fortunate—the elusive Bengal tiger.

Bardiya National Park in Nepal features diverse terrain, ranging in elevation from 152 meters (499 feet) in the fertile Terai lowlands to 1,448 meters (4,751 feet) at Bāghkhor Ḍā̃ḍā, its highest point in the scenic Siwalik Hills—offering a rich habitat for wildlife and a unique jungle safari experience.

Midway through the safari, a packed lunch will be enjoyed in the wilderness, providing guests with the opportunity to relax and savor a meal while immersed in nature's serenity. The adventure continues throughout the day, offering ample opportunities for wildlife sightings and birdwatching. By late afternoon, guests return to the resort, where they can unwind and share their exciting day’s experiences over a delicious dinner before heading to bed for a restful night. The expert safari guides will navigate through dense forests, sprawling grasslands, and riverbanks, providing fascinating insights into the behavior and habitats of the park's wildlife.

A special stop will be made at the Karnali River, where guests may spot gharial crocodiles, marsh mugger crocodiles, and the rare Gangetic dolphin. With their binoculars, bird enthusiasts can observe kingfishers, eagles, hornbills, and numerous migratory species. A packed lunch will be served in the wilderness, ensuring guests stay energized for the second half of the safari. The adventure continues until late afternoon, after which guests will return to the resort to relax, enjoy dinner, and reflect on their incredible wildlife encounters. Accommodation: Babai Resort | Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
