1. Day
Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400 m) – Welcome with Marigold Garlands & Hotel Transfer

Arrive in Kathmandu and be warmly greeted with marigold garlands before transferring to your hotel. Use this day to relax and acclimate to the vibrant capital city. Explore bustling local markets, savor traditional Nepali dishes, and immerse yourself in the rich cultural tapestry of Kathmandu. This first day sets the stage for your adventure, promising breathtaking experiences ahead in Eastern Nepal. A representative from Jagadamba Holidays will meet you at the international airport to ensure a smooth and welcoming arrival.

2. Day
Fly from Kathmandu to Tumlingtar Airport (518 m) and Enjoy a Scenic Trek to Karttike (523 m/1,715 ft.)

Start your adventure in eastern Nepal with an early morning drive to the Domestic Airport, followed by a scenic flight to Tumlingtar, situated on a broad plateau east of the Arun River. After breakfast and meeting your local porters, you'll embark on a drive to the Kumal Gaon trailhead. The trek begins with a walk through lush forests and across a bridge to Bheteni village. Continue via Chewabesi, following the Arun River's southern bank to reach Karttike. Experience a peaceful overnight stay in Karttike, where local charm and serene landscapes create a perfect retreat.

3. Day
Trek from Kartike to Gothe Bazar (1,128 m/3,700 ft.)

Begin the day with a trek through grasslands and cross a bridge over the Arun River to Baluwa Besi. Ascend through Sal forests and pass small Rai settlements before reaching Marduwa village. Here, terraced fields and traditional rice cultivation paint a picturesque backdrop. Continue to Gothe Bazar, where you will stay overnight, surrounded by the beauty of terraced landscapes and traditional mountain life.

4. Day
Trek from Gothe Bazar to Salpa Phedi (1,680 m/5,511 ft.) via Dobhane

Begin your trek from Gothe, passing through vibrant Rai and Sherpa settlements. Cross several suspension bridges over the scenic Irkuwa Khola and navigate through lush forests and serene streams. The trail's varied terrain offers breathtaking views of the surrounding natural beauty. As you make your way to Salpa Phedi, the journey combines gentle ascents and descents, culminating in a tranquil village nestled amid rolling hills. Enjoy a restful overnight stay in this peaceful setting, perfect for reflection and relaxation.

5. Day
Trek from Salpa Phedi to Gurase (2,500 m/8,202 ft.)

Ascend from Salpa Phedi through dense oak, birch, and rhododendron forests. The challenging yet rewarding trek brings you to Gurase Bhanjyang, where the high elevation provides panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes. Spend the night in Gurase Bhanjyang, where you can fully appreciate the serene environment and lush surroundings of this tranquil village.

6. Day
Trek from Gurase to Sanam (2,850 m/9,350 ft.) via Salpa Pass (3,558 m)

Embark on an exhilarating hike from Gurase to Sanam, passing through the majestic Salpa La Pass (3,558 m). The ascent to Salpa La offers stunning panoramic views of the towering Makalu and Chamlang peaks, making the climb a memorable highlight of the trek. The trail then descends through lush rhododendron forests, providing a serene and picturesque landscape as you make your way to Dhaka. Continue from Dhaka to Sanam, a tranquil village where you will spend the night. If time and energy permit, consider a detour to Shilicho Peak (4,156 m). 7. Day
Journey from Sanam to the Rai Village of Bung (1,900 m/6,233 ft.)

Today's trek features a mix of ascents and descents through forests of rhododendron, oak, and chir pine. Cross a steel suspension bridge over the Hinku River before reaching Bung, a Rai village known for its traditional rice, millet, and soybean cultivation. Rest and explore the local culture in Bung.

8. Day
Trek from Bung to Gaikharka (2,300 m/7,545 ft.)

Descend steeply from Bung, passing through Najindingma and spotting chortens and monasteries along the way. The trail includes yak grazing meadows and bushy areas. Arrive in Gaikharka for an overnight stay, where you can enjoy the picturesque green terraces and peaceful environment.

9. Day
Trek from Gaikharka to Panggom (2,850 m/9,350 ft.)

Today's trek features a dynamic mix of ascents and descents through varied terrain, including gorges, old moraines, and dense forests of rhododendron and juniper alongside the Hinku River. A significant highlight is the challenging ascent to Panggom La Pass (3,174m), where you'll be rewarded with spectacular, close-up views of Mera Peak and the surrounding peaks like Kusum Kanguru and Kangtega. The panoramic vistas from the pass offer a dramatic perspective of the Himalayas. Descend into the Sherpa village of Panggom, where you’ll experience local culture and spend the night amidst these stunning landscapes.

10. Day
Trek from Panggom to Puiyan / Painya (2,830 m/9,284 ft.)

Embark on a trek from Panggom, ascending through lush forests of oak, birch, bamboo, and rhododendron. The journey includes crossing Kari La Pass (3,145m), which offers expansive views of the surrounding landscapes. As you navigate a narrow, occasionally slippery trail and cross a wooden bridge, you’ll experience the rugged beauty of the region. Arrive in Painya, a quaint settlement where you can immerse yourself in local culture and enjoy a restful overnight stay. This segment of the trek is highlighted by the diverse flora and the serene ambiance of Painya.

11. Day
Trek from Painya to Lukla (2,846 m/9,337 ft.)

The final leg of the trek involves a 5-6 hour walk with gradual ascents through lush vegetation. Descend to Surke before climbing to Paiya La Pass (2,945 m). Pass through small settlements and alpine forests before arriving in Lukla, where you will celebrate the end of your trek and stay overnight.

Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu and Leisure Time for Personal Activities

Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu, either directly or via Ramechhap, and immerse yourself in the vibrant pulse of the capital city.
