Starting near Besishahar, the Annapurna Circuit unfolds in the lush lowlands. The trek winds through verdant forests, terraced fields, and vibrant villages such as Manang. These picturesque settlements are home to the Gurung and Thakali communities, whose rich cultural traditions provide an immersive experience.

A standout feature of the Annapurna Circuit is Kagbeni, known as the gateway to Upper Mustang. This unique stop adds a fascinating cultural dimension to your journey. The trek’s highlight is the Thorong La Pass, situated at 5,416 meters. This high-altitude pass offers trekkers awe-inspiring panoramic vistas of the Himalayas, including spectacular views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. The challenging ascent is well worth the breathtaking views.

In contrast, the Annapurna Base Camp Trek begins at Nayapul or Ghandruk. This trek takes you through diverse landscapes, from subtropical forests to lush alpine meadows. The ascent to the Annapurna Sanctuary reaches 4,130 meters, revealing breathtaking views of Annapurna South, Machhapuchchhre (Fishtail), and Hiunchuli. Each step of the journey offers new and awe-inspiring scenery.

One of the trek’s highlights is the visit to Poon Hill, renowned for its panoramic sunrise views over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges.
