1. Day
Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400 m) – Welcome with Marigold Garlands & Hotel Transfer

Arrive in Kathmandu and be warmly greeted with marigold garlands before transferring to your hotel. Use this day to relax and acclimate to the vibrant capital city. Explore bustling local markets, savor traditional Nepali dishes, and immerse yourself in the rich cultural tapestry of Kathmandu. This first day sets the stage for your adventure, promising breathtaking experiences ahead in Eastern Nepal. A representative from Jagadamba Holidays will meet you at the international airport to ensure a smooth and welcoming arrival.

2. Day
Drive from Kathmandu through Besishahar (760 m) to Jagat (1,300 m)

After an early morning breakfast, we set off on a scenic 6-7 hour drive from Kathmandu to Besisahar, which sits at 760 meters above sea level. The journey begins by following the picturesque Prithvi Highway, which runs alongside the Trishuli River. Along the way, you'll enjoy stunning views of terraced fields, traditional villages, and the peaks of Ganesh and Manaslu. As we proceed, we depart from the main Prithvi Highway at Dumre, which directs toward Pokhara, and head north toward Besishahar. From there, the drive takes us through lush paddy fields, eventually arriving at the Tibetan-style village of Jagat, situated at 1,300 meters, where we conclude the day’s journey.

3. Day
Trek from Jagat (1,300 m) through Tal Village to Dharapani (1,860 m)

After an early morning breakfast, we begin our trek from Jagat, gradually ascending towards Chame. The trail leads us over a suspension bridge and onto a rocky, steep path that eventually brings us to the picturesque Tal Village, where stunning waterfalls create a breathtaking scene. After taking in the beauty of Tal, we continue our journey, crossing another suspension bridge to reach lower Dharapani. A short distance further lies higher Dharapani, where we will spend the night. The day's trek takes approximately 5 hours, reaching an altitude of 1,860 meters.

4. Day
Trek from Dharapani to Koto (2,600 m): Explore the Scenic Annapurna Region

Set out on a captivating trek from Dharapani to Koto, located at 2,610 meters, in the heart of the Annapurna region. This journey, which takes around four to five hours, leads you through beautiful pine and fir forests, past historic monasteries, and traditional villages, including Bargarchhap. From Bargarchhap, take in breathtaking views of Annapurna II, Manaslu, and the surrounding peaks. The trail continues through lush forests until you reach Koto, a charming village known for its Gurung community. This trek offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and cultural experiences in Nepal’s magnificent Annapurna region.

Trek from Koto to Meta (3,560 m): Explore Scenic Pine Forests and Tibetan Plateau Views

After registering our restricted area permits at the Koto police checkpoint, we start our trek along the banks of Soti Khola. This route takes us through enchanting pine forests, across several suspension bridges, and past cascading waterfalls, eventually leading us to Dharamshala in about five hours. From Dharamshala, the forest opens up, and the vistas become more expansive. We continue for approximately one and a half hours, ascending steeply through the forest to reach Meta village, situated on the Tibetan Plateau. At Meta, savor panoramic views of Annapurna II and Lamjung Himal, a spectacular reward for your trek.

Trek from Meta to Phu Gaon (4,080 m): Explore Stunning Himalayan Landscapes and Unique Culture

The trek from Meta to Phu Gaon, at an altitude of 4,250 meters, takes 7-8 hours and features frequent ascents and descents. The trail begins by crossing a suspension bridge to reach Chyaku. As you continue climbing, you’ll be rewarded with stunning views of Annapurna. The route then leads into Kyang, where you can enjoy spectacular vistas of Pisang Peak and Annapurna II. The path follows a rocky trail alongside the Phu Khola, passing distinctive submarine rocks and occasional campsites before arriving at Phu Gate, the entry point to Phu Village. Nar and Phu villages are renowned for their distinctive blue sheep, vibrant culture, and religious practices. During your visit to Phu Village, be sure to explore the Tashi Lhakhang Monastery. Trek Over Kang La Pass (5,322 m) to Ngawal Village (3,660 m): Conquer the High Pass and Enjoy Scenic Himalayan Views

From Nar, we embark on a challenging yet rewarding trek as we ascend through the lateral moraine of Temdenzon Khola. The route takes us through yak pastures, offering stunning views of Pisang Peak’s west ridge. Our journey will lead us to Jhombu Kharka, also known as Kang La Phedi, which is the base of the Kang La Pass. At Kang La Phedi, we begin our ascent to the Kang La Pass. The path is steep but manageable, and we estimate it will take about 2 hours to reach the summit. Once at the Kang La Pass, we are rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of Annapurna II, Gangapurna, and Tilicho Peak. The scenery from this high-altitude pass is truly spectacular and a highlight of the trek. After crossing the pass, we descend to Ngawal Village, our destination for the night. The trek from Kang La Pass to Ngawal takes approximately three hours. Ngawal is a picturesque village where we will rest and reflect on our achievement of crossing the high pass.

Trek from Ngawal to Chame (2,776 m): Scenic Descent Through Traditional Villages

Our trek begins in Ngawal, heading downhill towards Chame. The journey spans approximately 6-8 hours and involves traversing diverse terrain, including terraced fields and lush forests. The trail provides breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes and mountains, enhancing the trekking experience. As we descend, we pass through charming traditional villages, each offering a glimpse into the local way of life. The path winds through picturesque valleys and alongside rivers, ensuring a varied and scenic trek.
